An AI to call your own (Uma IA pra chamar de sua)

Did you know we're already in the third generation of generative AI? And that the fourth is just beginning? If you think AI will change things anytime soon, know that time is long gone.

AI is already changing everything. And I'm not talking about scientific marvels, like protein synthesis, which has evolved 20-fold in the space of three years. I'm talking about everyday business.

The first generation of generative AI was ChatGPT, which answered any question, not always intelligently. But it was essentially a repository of knowledge.

Then came the second generation, which began incorporating assistants to deepen the quality and scope of answers.

Now, we're in the third generation, which integrates with other platforms and turns your ideas into apps, automations, websites, etc.

All of this happened in just over a year, and it doesn't even compare to what's coming. When the Internet truly emerged in 1996, I saw people ignoring what it did until 2000, when the bubble burst and made skeptics happy. In other words, four years later, there were still people betting against it.

There's no such deadline for AI. So, the question isn't if or when, but how long it will take you to realize it. AI will change everything you do, both personally and professionally. It's no longer possible to live without it. Which side will you be on: watching others use it or using it yourself?

It could mean the end of your job.

A primeira geração da IA generativa foi o ChatGPT que respondia a qualquer pergunta, nem sempre com sabedoria. Mas basicamente era um repositório de conhecimento.

Aí veio a segunda geração, que começou a incorporar os assistentes para aprofundar a qualidade e o alcance das respostas.

Agora, estamos na terceira, que integra com outras plataformas e faz suas ideias virarem aplicativos, automações, sites etc.

Tudo isso aconteceu em pouco mais de um ano e nem se compara ao que vem por aí. Quando a Internet surgiu de verdade, em 1996, vi as pessoas ignorando o que ela fazia até 2000, quando estourou a bolha e fez a alegria dos céticos. Ou seja, em 4 anos ainda tinha gente apostando contra.

Não existe esse prazo para IA. Então, a questão não é nem se e nem quando, mas quanto tempo você vai perder até perceber isso. A IA vai mudar tudo o que você faz seja no campo pessoal, seja no profissional. Não é mais possível viver sem ela. De qual lado você vai ficar: assistindo os outros usarem ou usando você mesmo?

Isso pode significar o fim do seu trabalho.
